Our Story

The Scripps Wedge SG2 debuted in early January 2024 as a limited release of just 600 units. Offered exclusively to local golfers at our San Diego driving range—and to a select group of out-of-town and international players visiting nearby tournament-caliber courses—this early edition quickly earned praise.
Resident golf coaches and teaching professionals, who actively use the range for lessons and training, played a key role in testing and refining the design. Their insights, drawn from thousands of hours of instruction and short-game analysis, helped shape the wedge’s exceptional feel, spin control, and turf interaction.
Importantly, SG2 passed all equipment guidelines outlined in the Rules of Golf and was officially certified for use in professionally governed tournaments. This validation confirmed not only its performance but its readiness for competitive play at the highest level.
Thus was born SG3—our latest offering, refined for broader release and ready to elevate the game of domestic and international golfers alike.
